Due to a busy period for the club and many of our members, we’ve made the decision to postpone the tournament until October 8th during the October school holidays.

To help create the best experience for all players and teams, the SAJBL 3x3 Tournament will feature two separate tournament days based on playing level. This structure is designed to ensure teams compete against others of a similar standard and enjoy a balanced and competitive event.
Schedule
8:00am: Doors Open and player checkin
8:45am: MC Announcements
9:00am: Games start
4:40pm: Last game
5:30pm: Stadium closes
Please note: Teams must be formed and registered independently prior to entering the tournament. SAJBL does not place individual players into teams or create teams for participants. Players looking to participate should organise a team with friends, teammates, or their club/academy before registering.
Important Registration Information
All teams must be registered by selecting “+ New Team Registration” within Basketball Connect.
Please do not select an existing player profile or your child’s name during this process, as team registrations must be completed separately.
To complete your team registration, you will need:
Full names and dates of birth for all players
Parent/guardian contact details for each player
After the team is entered, each player will receive an email link to finalise their individual registration requirements.

The SAJBL 3x3 Tournament is a junior basketball event for Under 12, Under 14, and Under 16 boys and girls, held during the July school holidays. Played in a 3x3 half-court format, the tournament gives players the chance to compete, have fun with teammates, and enjoy a full day of exciting basketball action.

The entry fee is $300 per team.

Each team must register with 4 players.

No. Teams must be formed independently before registering. SAJBL does not place players into teams or create teams for participants.

Each team is guaranteed 6 games across the tournament day.

All games run for 15 minutes.

Team and player check-in opens from 8:00am.
Important event announcements covering safety, venue information, and tournament operations will begin at 8:45am.
The first games will start at 9:00am.

Registrations close on 17th September, or earlier if all tournament spots are filled.
We strongly recommend registering early as places are limited.

Coaches are not included with team registration. However, a limited number of tournament coaches are available for an additional cost.
If your team requires a coach, we encourage you to secure one early before allocations sell out.

No. There are no pass-outs during the tournament.

Players should bring:
Basketball uniform or matching team singlets
Basketball shoes
Water bottle
Any required medical items
Snacks if needed

One representative from the team should complete the team registration form online and provide all required player details.

Yes - parents, family members, and spectators are welcome to stay and watch throughout the tournament day.

Once divisions reach capacity, registrations will close. Additional teams will not be accepted once spots are filled.
