Let’s chat about how your club or academy can get involved in the league.
Sturt Sabres Basketball Club
The Sturt Sabres are one of South Australia’s leading district clubs and provide opportunities for players to compete at the highest level. Entry into the Sturt District program is managed through external trials, which are held once a year.
At present, all district teams are full, and the next external trials will take place in 2026. Players who are part of academies participating in the SAJBL will be invited to attend these trials, with academies forming a recognised pathway into the Sturt District program.
This means that by playing in the SAJBL through an academy, players can not only enjoy regular, well-structured competition but also position themselves for potential opportunities at the district level when trials open.
